Hello OLMC families!

Today marks the beginning of Advent, the season of the church year in which we are all asked to prayerfully prepare for the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day.  We are reminded in Mark’s gospel to: “Be watchful!  Be alert!”  In school we will be echoing these sentiments, asking the students to practice the virtue of patience as we wait, watch and prepare for Christmas Day.

Here are the items of note for the upcoming week:

• This is the final week for Win Big ticket sales. Please return all tickets, sold and unsold, as every ticket must be accounted for. Ticket stubs with payment by check are due by 12/1; cash payments are due by 12/3.
• Friday, 12/4, is an early dismissal day for our monthly faculty meeting.
• The Win Big drawing is scheduled for Saturday, 12/5, at 7 PM. The drawing will be live-streamed; details of this will be released shortly.
• Looking ahead, school is closed next Tuesday, 12/8, in observance of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
• Please remember your responsibility to the Mt. Carmel family. If you traveled over the Thanksgiving break to, or hosted friends or family from, one of the states on NJ’s travel advisory list, your children are expected to quarantine for 14 days.
