Hello Mt. Carmel families,

Although this weekend’s weather may be less than ideal, please remember the reason we celebrate Memorial Day.  Take a moment to say a prayer of thanks for the men and women whose service to our country allows us to enjoy the freedoms we have. Without the sacrifices made by those fallen heroes, as well as today’s active duty military personnel, we might not be “the land of the free, and the home of the brave.”

Here are the noteworthy items for the week ahead:

• Class assignments related to our virtual field trips on Friday, 3/28, are due by Tuesday, June 1 at 8 AM.
• STAR testing continues through June 4. Please ensure students come to school well-rested and well-fed to ensure optimal performance.
• Junior high students were given their exam schedules last week. Although we all want the school year to finish quickly, there are academic activities which will fill our days right up to June 18.
• On Thursday, June 3, the LEGO club will meet after school in the gym from 2:30 to 3:15 for a socially distanced preview of next year’s activities. Attendance is limited to the first 20 students/parents who e-mail Mrs. Millenbach ([email protected]).
• Friday, June 4 is an early dismissal day. It is also a spirit day.
