Good evening OLMC community,

I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful first weekend of October.  On Saturday, almost one hundred Mt. Carmel friends and family enjoyed our first social event since March. Our American Girl Doll Parking Lot Picnic was a great success, and was well received by all who attended.  Many thanks go out to all the volunteers who helped make the day so memorable.

Here are the highlights of the upcoming week:

• This week our students will finish up their STAR testing. Teachers will be able to access the results of this assessment and begin to plan instruction accordingly.
• On Wednesday, 10/7, we will attend Mass virtually by watching the live-stream of our parish’s 8 AM Mass.
• Wednesday also marks the midpoint of the marking period, and Progress Reports will be released on RenWeb at the end of the school day. Please remind your student to submit all work in a timely fashion.
• On Friday, 10/9, there is no school for students as our teachers take part in an in-service day.
• Monday, 10/12, is a well-deserved school holiday for students and staff!

Please remember to monitor your children’s health carefully.  We had an uneventful September, and I hope to say that at the end of every month of school!
