Hello Mt. Carmel families,
Today, we mark the beginning of Holy Week, the most sacred week in the liturgical year. As we progress through Holy Week, please remember to keep prayer a central part of your family’s day. Pray for those who are sick, or lonely due to the social distancing or COVID fatigue we are experiencing. Pope Francis wrote: “…let us ask for the grace to live in order to serve. May we reach out to those who are suffering and those most in need. May we not be concerned about what we lack, but what good we can do for others.”
This is the last week of the marking period. We will have classes through Wednesday, March 31 (full day) then break for Easter vacation. Classes will resume on Monday, April 12. Report cards will be issued electronically on Tuesday, April 13 at the end of the school day. There are a few items to mention for the upcoming week:
- Thank you to all of the families who contributed to our recent food drive. Our donation was gratefully received by the St. Vincent dePaul Food Bank.
- Students enjoyed their Jump Rope and Hoops for Heart activities this past week. Mrs. Steinberger has asked that donation envelopes be returned to school by Monday, April 19.
- Please remember to inform the school of any Easter travel plans which will require quarantine upon return to NJ. A copy of the current guidelines was sent home earlier this week.
Be well,
Alice Malloy
