The classrooms are ready, the supplies have been delivered, the teachers have been busy preparing…it’s time to return to school! Although there is always activity in the building during the summer, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School will truly come to life when the students return on Tuesday, September 5. Faculty and staff eagerly await the happy sounds and controlled chaos that our OLMC Eagles bring with them during the first weeks of school. As has been our recent custom, our students will once again pledge to SOAR: Seek opportunities to serve, Own their learning, Act responsibly, and Respect all people.
For our opening day, parents of K- 8th grade students are invited to escort their child/children to the gym where we will gather for morning prayer as a school community. Pre-K parents may drop their children off at the classrooms and then proceed to the gym if they choose. After the students are dismissed to homerooms, parents are welcome to enjoy a cup of coffee and share first day stories!
Look for school e-mails detailing lunch orders, snacks, school drop-off and pick-up, etc. There are many things to read and respond to at the beginning of a new school year; please be patient and take the time to review everything. Feel free to contact the school if there are any questions.
