Hello Mt. Carmel families,
Although the weather today is less than ideal, I hope that everyone has enjoyed the long weekend. Having completed five weeks of school, the break is certainly well-deserved!
The remainder of this week should be quiet, but there are a few items worth mentioning. All parents should be in the habit of checking RenWeb to stay abreast of their K-8 students’ assignments and grades. We are at the mid-point of the first marking period, and there is still time for students to improve grades before report cards are issued next month. Equally important is the need for parents to regularly check FACTS tuition accounts to ensure that those are accurate and current.
Looking ahead, school pictures have been scheduled on Monday, October 26 for all in-school students. A second picture day has been scheduled on Wednesday, October 28 for any student absent on the first day, as well as for our remote learners. The dress code for K-8 students is our winter uniform, so please begin checking for those items now. Our photographer, Schoolhouse Pictures, will be using the individual student pictures to assemble a class composite rather than take a group picture, so it is important that all students are present on picture day. Remote learners will receive specific information about their photo times.
Finally, in case your student has not mentioned it, Mrs. Stoltz has been missing from school the past two weeks. The evening of our virtual “Back-to-School” night, she tripped and injured her foot, and is currently at home convalescing. Various faculty members have been filling in to cover her classes, following her lesson plans and using the videos she has created so that all students continue to receive instruction in art. We all hope she has a speedy recovery!
