Hello Mt. Carmel families!
I hope this e-mail finds everyone well as we enjoy the final weekend of August. In previous years, at this point in our summer vacations, most of us would be lamenting the return to school. I suspect this year will be different. The faculty and I can’t wait to see our students in the building again! The last few summer projects are nearing completion, the building will be cleaned one more time, and it will be September 8th before we know it.
One of the summer projects involved a major update to our school PA system. When the dust settles, we will have phones in all the classrooms, and adequate speakers in the gym and school yard with which to hear announcements. This upgrade was funded by our school’s allocation of state security grants. Please note, parents will not be able to visit classrooms or the uniform swap tomorrow (Monday, 8/31) as originally announced due to this work. Supplies may be dropped off at the main office tomorrow, or visits scheduled Tuesday-Thursday from 9 AM to noon.
Please be ready for a steady stream of communications as we begin the final countdown to the new school year. Messages will be sent through RenWeb, posted to the school’s Facebook page or added to our school website.
